This will be an intermediate sailing program available to any members in 2nd through 7th grade who have completed our summer sailing program in a previous year. As we move toward the summer months and many of our members and Foundation Supporters head north, we look forward to your return.  Our work at the Foundation is very busy with the Summer Sailing Camp in full swing.  At this writing the first three of our four sessions are completely sold out.  Session number 4 which is from July 29 – August 9th still has a few spots available. 

The Foundation is proud to announce that we are offering another summer sailing camp in cooperation with the city of Fort Lauderdale. The camp will be held at our brand new sailing and watersports center and we will have all brand new equipment for our kids to enjoy. There will be four 2-week sessions to choose from on the following dates: *Camp starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00

The Coral Ridge Yacht Club hosted our first “Art Regatta” at the club on April 11th. Local sailors from our club and the Lauderdale Yacht Club participated in a fun sailing regatta featuring sails decorated by local artists.

I have a lot to report in this writing.  The Party with a Purpose which was held on March 23, was an enormous success financially as well as an outstanding evening with many highlights.  A huge thank you to the staff and chef for an outstanding dinner and the service was impeccable as well.  We exceeded all expectations in every respect.  For those of you who noticed our 2024 donation

It was great to see the front page of the Log that featured the 2023 Sailing Program.  I hope it piqued the interest of some of our new members in our programs.  The summer sailing camp is our major event for the year, but as most of you know we help in many areas for the benefit of the club members and the community in keeping with our mission statement.

Classes now available at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club Your Foundation has arranged for CRYC members to take the following PADI Scuba Diving courses at the club. All pool sessions will be held in the club pool by PADI certified instructors from Gold Coast Scuba. Open water dives will arranged through South Florida Diving Headquarters out of the Hillsboro Inlet. It is recommended that you complete your online course work

Our inaugural “Demo Day” was a tremendous success. We had a great turnout with members participating in all of our watersports activities. Scuba diving and tankless diving were both very popular with dozens of members taking part in the Discover Scuba and Nomad Experiences. As many of you have noticed the construction of our new Sailing Center at the NW portion of our property on Sunrise Bay is well underway but unfortunately will not be complete by the date, we had set for Foundation Day on February 11.  The Sailing Center was to be an important part of the Foundation Day events and rather than work around it the Board has decided to postpone
