The Foundation is looking forward to a very busy year in 2023 Our major fund raiser, THE PARTY WITH A PURPOSE is scheduled for March 25, 2023. We are rescheduling our outdoor, fun and educational event FOUNDATION DAY to January 2023. We will announce the exact date in the next Log Article. Of course, we are working toward another successful sailing program and hopefully expand the sailing activities with our joint effort with the City of Ft. Lauderdale and Lauderdale Yacht Club. We are also working on the design and installation of the plaque which will replace the bricks. If you would like to have your brick back, please let me know and we will make arrangements. I am sure you will be pleased with the new plaque and if you do not have one, we can order yours. The donation is $1,000.00 which will include two invitations to the Party with a Purpose valued at $500.00.

Starr and I had the pleasure of having dinner with new members Denis and Pat Riley. Denis ran the sailing program at the Yacht Club he belonged to in New Jersey for 14 years and is looking forward to becoming active in our program. As some of you know, we have a 14.2 Capri Day sailor which is suitable for adults as well as children. Denis is in the process of updating our boat and has offered to give lessons to Adults or Children who would like to use the boat.
