Foundation Log – September 2025

As I write this article, I can report that the summer sailing program is a great success. Our partnership
with the City of Ft. has proven to be an asset to Coral Ridge Yacht Club and our Community. This year’s
sold-out program has offered an opportunity to many kids who would not otherwise have the
opportunity to participate in this wonderful sailing experience, as well as those who continue to improve
their skills. As some of our sailors continue to get more skills, we continue to expand our fleet to meet
those needs. We are currently in the process of purchasing a Laser Sailboat which is well suited for
those kids with more advanced skills. It will also be available, as will the rest of our assets to use at no
cost. We have also purchased an additional paddleboard. We have a wide variety of equipment that we
hope you will enjoy.

Foundation Day, which is set for November 15th, will be an excellent opportunity for you to come out and
enjoy the Paddleboards, Sailboats, Kayaks, etc. as well as the live music and a fun day centered around
the Pointe and Sunrise Bay.

The Epicurean Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 20 th in the Commodores Lounge. As I
mentioned in my last article, we have expanded the attendance cap for this event from 30 to 40 guests.
This is truly an outstanding event featuring white glove service, complimentary cocktails and wine and
Chef Steve creating a masterpiece dinner experience. We have only a few spots open for the event and
would encourage you to enjoy this great evening and support the Foundation.

The Foundation Board is in the process of planning our winter sailing events. At this point we expect to
be running Tuesday after school sailing in partnership with St. Marks School.

Last years Sunday/Funday Sailing Program was run by Meredith Campbell and was a huge success.
Unfortunately, Meredith and Alex Campbell have resigned from the club for personal reasons, and we
would like to ask if any of the parents would like to take an active role in this program. The Foundation
will support it and provide the necessary staff. The success of this program depends on Family
participation. Please contact me or any of the Foundation Board Members If you would like to
participate.

I would like to thank Meredith for her service on the Foundation Board and both Alex and Meredith for
their hard work making Sunday/Funday a success as well as their support for the Foundation.

We look forward to welcoming all the snowbirds back to enjoy our beautiful Ft. Lauderdale weather.
As always, thank you very much for supporting your Foundation.
