It was great to see the front page of the Log that featured the 2023 Sailing Program. I hope it piqued the interest of some of our new members in our programs. The summer sailing camp is our major event for the year, but as most of you know we help in many areas for the benefit of the club members and the community in keeping with our mission statement. I would like to thank those of you who were complimentary of our sailing program through your calls, letters and emails including compliments from the City of Ft. Lauderdale. You can learn more about our efforts on our website crycfoundation.org. Now that this year’s program is complete special thanks go to those who made it possible including our coaches, support people, staff, the Foundation Board and our partners, St Marks School, The City of Ft. Lauderdale and Lauderdale Yacht Club and, of course without your much appreciated financial support the Sailing Center, Sailing Program, New boats Waterfront equipment and ongoing programs would not be possible.
There are many ways that you can help your Foundation continue and expand our programs. Donations are always welcome in any amount and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Our elegant Epicurean Dinner is scheduled for November 30th. The event is limited to 20 people and will be in the Commodores Lounge. The donation is $1,000 per couple and will feature our chef’s finest creations, complimentary beverages, music and surprises. There are a few reservations left and your donation will apply to the TEAM FOUNDATION PLAQUE or upgrade.
Include your name or message on the Team Foundation Plaque (formally Brick Society) that will be displayed at the entrance to the Clubhouse. The donation is $1000.00
Our major Fundraising event is the Party with a Purpose which will be held on Saturday evening, March 23, 2024, and again limited to 100 guests. As always, we will be serving a gourmet dinner, complimentary beverages, Silent and Live Auction, music and dancing. The donation is $250.00 per person tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Your donation will also apply to the Team Foundation Plaque or upgrade. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of the kids that participated in the Sailing Program who will say a few words about their experience.
As we look forward to the Sailing Camp Awards Luncheon on September 23, on behalf of the Foundation Board, I would like to thank you for your continued support.
