Foundation Log – November 2025

It’s that time of year that we welcome our snowbird friends back for another great season at Coral Ridge
Yacht Club. As usual the Foundation has plans to continue our efforts to benefit the community and
CRYC. We will start to make plans to continue our summer sailing camp in partnership with the City of
Ft Lauderdale. Last year’s program was a huge success, but we are always anxious to expand and
improve. Any suggestions are always welcome.

Our work is only made possible by donations and most of them come from our supporters at the club
and your participation in our events. All donations of any amount are always welcomed and
appreciated.

Foundation Day is scheduled for November 15, 2025. Everyone is welcome for a fun day with live music
and the opportunity to enjoy watersports at the club. Members can try scuba diving and tankless diving in the club pool. Our sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards will be available for use in Sunrise Bay, and as usual at no cost to you. Food and drink will be available, and kids eat free.

Our Epicurean Dinner will be in the Commodores Lounge on Thursday Night November 20, 2025. This
event was originally limited to 20 guests, but Chef Steve has assured me that we can expand it and still
have the usual outstanding event. It is not only a culinary delight with complimentary cocktails, wine,
hors d’ oeuvres, music and white glove service, but your $500 per person donation goes a long way in
helping us continue our good work. As I write in this article we have 36 reservations, and the event is
limited to 40 guests. Give yourself a treat and enjoy this very special evening while supporting your
Foundation.

Our major fundraising event, The Party with a Purpose, is scheduled for March 20, 2026. Please save the
date. Your $250.00 per person donation will include a gourmet dinner, complimentary cocktail party
with hot and cold Hors d’oeuvres, complimentary wine with dinner, live music and the very popular
silent auction.

Some of our members have donated very nice items to include in our silent auction at the event and we
welcome those donations as well as donations of any amount. Remember, all donations are tax
deductible to the full extent of the law.

I am also pleased to report that we now have a Lazer Sailboat that will be used by our more experienced
sailors and will also be available to our members together will all our other assets at no cost to you.
Please take advantage of them on Foundation Day or any other time that suits you.
As always, thank you very much for supporting your Foundation.
